The Team

A few things about me are already mentioned in the history of this company. But here are a few additional points.

I did my apprenticeship as a system integrator. But also I was interested in programming. Only because of these two reasons I was able to build the first personal prototypes. While I tested and improved the first gadget, I was already thinking about the next step. Before I founded SkyTec, I worked in a little computer company named IBM. I invested a lot of free time in this project, that was only a hobby at that time.

It was a little difficult at that time, because I also had to earn some money.

Sometimes I was a bit tired or just couldn’t concentrate. But then a friend of mine thought it would be a great idea to invest in a company based on my ideas. He had a lot of money, because he sold his own company 3 months ago. He asked me if he could work as the maintenance man in my company, just because he now has so much free time.

Marco Kanonenberg

Marketing Director

My name is Marco Kanonenberg. I am the marketing director of SkyTec Industries.

My journey began early. After my school I made an apprenticeship for “Informationstechnischer Assistant”. From this on, I was sure I want to be part of the future and I was certain, the future would be something with computer technics. Because of my apprenticeship I could understand nearly all the different aspects of computer systems. I wanted other people to enjoy the pros of working with computers. So I studied marketing in Berlin, Germany.

Since 2009 I am working for SkyTec and our SkyHouse. It was very hard at the beginning cause a really small amount if people could buy a house, so the audience was quite small. But nonetheless we were successful and we could decrease our prices heavily. Along with this we could expand our audience and our success grows larger and larger. 2010 was a great time for us. We changed our marketing from national to international. We build our houses all over the world. It was a great feeling and I knew this is the company, where I will be happy till my pension. My personal biggest coup was 2011. To say it in short, I accomplished to get advertising at McDonalds and Burger King... at the same time. Nobody had done this before and because of this, we got a whole lot of free advertising from newscasts all over the world. No surprise that Burger King and McDonalds broke the contracts, but we got massive cash from it and the advertising was still huge. In 2012 I could get the Military Contract. I sold our A.I. INA to the Military, so our development could improve. A personal little thing, but I thought it was beneficial for our company. I cannot express how satisfied I am, to be part of this company. My fellow workers are great and together we can achieve anything. Thanks a lot.

Maximilian Birkenbach

Chief Programmer

My name is Maximilian Birkenbach and I am the chief programmer of SkyTec Industries.

I am interested in computer science since I was born. After I got my graduate I studied computer science in Koblenz. In this time I started to develop a new AI – just for fun. After I got my exam also my AI project has been progressed, but there was no suitable object to test it. The consequence was easy: search an object which works perfectly with the AI.

In 2008 got some facts about the SkyHouse Project of SkyTec Industries and I was very interested because they didn’t find a suitable AI. I presented my project to Mr. Wershofen and he was very pleased by the features of AI and he offered me to work for SkyTec. I agreed to this opportunity and so I was appointed to lead the software development team.

Until 2009 we redesigned the program to create an interface for robots which belong to a real SkyHouse. The former name “Eden 2000” has been dropped and the new name was “INA”.

In 2010 the limit of the used operating system has been reached. So I suggested developing a new operating system based on UNIX - SkyOS. At the beginning of 2011 the system has been released and is still in use.

Since 2012 – after the contract with military – we focus on improving the security of SkyOS.

I’m very proud to work for SkyTec because we developed an amazing house which fulfills one of the dreams of the humankind.

Achievements
  • 2010 - Got award for creating the best AI
  • 2011 - Won the fight against EINAR (the evil brother of INA).
  • 2012 - Made first plans to improve the security of SkyOS to help initializing the military contract.
  • 2012 - Nominated on Black Hat for developing one of the most secure OS
Special Ability

talking with computers (of course binary)

Benjamin Reuter

Lead Designer / Chief of Engineering

I came to the company as a ‘Gestaltungstechnischer Assistent’ (German for ‘Graphical Design Assistant’) and I was initially only employed to help Mr. Kanonenberg with creating the CI/CD for SkyTec.

When I have built a robot to bake me Pizza and connected it with INA in my free time (engineering is a self-told hobby of mine), it did catch Mr. Wershofen’s attention. Just a little time later, SkyTec’s expansion in robotics was born and I was promoted to chief of engineering.

Now my creativity is not limited to SkyTec’s digital presentation anymore, but now I am involved in nearly every design decision that is made in this company, from software to hardware.

Personal note

Does like cats, but never makes the mistake to trust them.
